If you want to contact me, e-mail is the best way since I’m at work all day and most of the night and am consequently seldom home to take calls.
No résumé?
Nobody decides to hire someone based on their résumé. They do however, often decide not to hire someone based on their résumé. In my experience what typically happens is an over-worked Human Resources staffer quickly scans a dozen documents looking for the 3-5 keywords they were given as job-requirements and throw out any résumé where those particular terms don’t leap off the page.
I’ve lost count of the number of interviews I’ve blown because the interviewer simply couldn’t grasp that working in raw HTML yields cleaner results than- and requires more skill than- working in Dreamweaver. Sure, I know Dreamweaver, but why talk up your favorite set of water-wings or intertube when you know how to swim? Because floating is a separate skill from swimming. It says so in the job description.
If I post a résumé, I won’t be helping anyone. I won’t be helping myself get work and I wouldn’t be helping you get good design work by helping you to disqualify me from consideration. I do enough of that on my own. I don’t need a document to help, but if you absolutely have to have one, e-mail me and I’ll send you one.
That said, I work pretty cheaply and I work hard. I will work freelance or full-time. I have experience in both print and interactive media and like to do both. When people ask me: What can I do? my answer is always: What do you need done?
Contact me and we’ll work something out.
